our purpose
By creating safe and caring neighbourhoods and communities we help reduce the incidences and effects of criminal offending, building community resilience and strengthening community networks to improve the quality of life and enhance wellbeing. Working closely with the Police, Fire and Emergency (FENZ) and many other organisations in our community, we promote and support the development of Neighbourhood Support groups throughout the North Taranaki area.

- Vulnerable victim support
- Referrals to partner organisations age concern, fire and emergency, multi ethnic and many more
- Referrals for free installation of antitheft screws for license plates
- Sending out special alerts on behalf of NZ Police to help prevent petrol theft
- Alerts about current local Scams
- Have a great way to get to know the people that live around you
- Receive emails and alerts that will keep you up-to-date with news from our community partners, including NZ Police
- Gain tips and resources to improve your household and neighbourhood safety
- Learn how you can be better prepared for emergencies
- By working together we can support each other, solve local issues and make our neighbourhoods safer and more welcoming
- Be a part of a sustainable network that provides resources and support

With over 30 years of experience, we have developed effective strategies for community safety and resilience throughout the North Taranaki region.
North Taranaki Neighbourhood Support has over 10,000 members in our community.
Annually we support over 100 victims of crime in our community.
