our purpose

By creating safe and caring neighbourhoods and communities we help reduce the incidences and effects of criminal offending, building community resilience and strengthening community networks to improve the quality of life and enhance wellbeing.  Working closely with the Police, Fire and Emergency (FENZ) and many other organisations in our community, we promote and support the development of Neighbourhood Support groups throughout the North Taranaki area.

what you Receive as a member

As a new member you will receive from us, a digital or paper welcome pack, containing useful fact sheets and booklets to help you keep yourself and your possessions safe along with a Street Group information PDF Detailing who is in your group, location and contact details. Our Field Officer will also personally deliver your Neighbourhood Support Stickers to place on your mailbox and window.

All members who have registered their email with us will receive our weekly EWatch Newsletter on a Friday. This e-newsletter contains a summary of reported crimes for the previous week, special alerts from NZ Police, information on current scams and useful information on keeping you, your family and community safe. 

What does it cost?

Neighbourhood Support is always FREE to join and your level of participation is completely up to you.
